Data subject

An individual about whom data is being held and/or stored.

From the Trust's perspective the majority of data subjects will be patients, but the principles of confidentiality extend to other individuals about whom the Trust stores information. Anothe major group of individuals are the staff - whether salaried, honorary, voluntary , or externally-contracted.
