Public interest disclosure
Information may be disclosed in the public interest (to your employer or other responsible person) in the following circumstances:
- where the disclosure is made in good faith in the belief that it is true and where the disclosure is not made for personal gain
- where a criminal offence has been or is likely to be committed
- where a person is failing to comply with a legal obligation
- where a miscarriage of justice has occurred
- where the health and safety of individuals is endangered
- where environmental damage is taking place or has taken place.
